Always More

I don’t know why I keep thinking things will slow down and I’ll have more time, especially when I have two consecutive days off from the dayjob.  I should know better than that.

In case I haven’t mentioned it here, I have a release date for the trade paperback of Hunting Medusa!  If you’re a die-hard paperback reader, rather than an ebook reader, January 6, 2015 is the day you’ll be able to get your hands on this one.  I am very excited about it.  Just a couple days ago, I finished going through the galleys for the paperback version.  Now I’m back to rewrites on the second book.  Which I’m pretty sure will be in rewrite mode–no, I won’t say it, because I don’t want it to happen.  My aim was to be finished with these rewrites by the end of the month, but now I’m hoping for mid-March, since I hadn’t figured on galleys coming when they did.  Not that I’m complaining about galleys, because that means we’re thismuch closer to having another version in readers’ hands, literally.

I have also been working back and forth this week with my web designer at Premier Webster for the last few details on my website.  I think we ought to be ready to go in the next two weeks, though when I know for sure, I’ll absolutely be making an announcement here, and on my Facebook page and on Twitter.  You know, everywhere.  I can’t wait for all of you to see the site.  It’s gorgeous, and it’s going to feature my cover art pretty prominently at the start.  Also, when the site goes live, I’ll be celebrating with a party on Facebook, and giveaways here and there.  Good stuff like books and gift cards.

I had another fun surprise this week: my first royalty statement.  Woot!  Since Hunting Medusa was released at the end of a calendar month, the statement only encompasses a few days, but I’m still happy.  Another first.  They just keep coming, and I like it!

Now I think I need some sleep before heading back to the dayjob tomorrow, but before I go, I’ll be a helpful author and make sure to link to my book, for those of you who may not have grabbed a copy yet.  You can find it here at my publisher, at Amazon, and Barnes & Noble.  Here’s to more!

My shiny new cover art! isn't it pretty?
