Today is our last day at writers’ retreat, and then we head home tomorrow. I think we’ve both made some decent progress on our manuscripts, and I’m not done yet. I am ‘thisclose’ to the final word count of the first draft, though I’m not sure I’m going to quite get there today. That’s all right, because it won’t take long to finish it up even after I’m home, and then the hard work starts on it.
For those of you in the States, Happy 4th of July! We’ll finish off our day with fireworks on the beach, as I imagine many other people will be doing, though ours won’t include any barbecuing. But it will include some time just relaxing on the sand, even if we haven’t quite finished our writing.
