A Medusa who stopped believing in love long before The Curse, Harvesters hot on her trail, and a hot naked guy in her shower who plans to stop them.
HELLO AND WELCOME
Hello, and welcome to my home on the web! If you like a little paranormal in your romance, you're in the right place.
My books are both contemporary and light paranormal romances, all with a huge helping of heat, and a guaranteed happy ending.
I am a mom, a wife, and a book-lover to the core. I hope you'll check things out, and that you come back often to see what's new.

( Photo on Foter.com ) We’re heading into Valentine’s Day this week, so it seems like a perfect week to talk about romance, in our books and in real life. I regularly see posts on social media asking about the book that hooked someone on romance novels, and I always feel a little guilty because I don’t remember the first romance I ever read. Other people can name their first, so why can’t I? Probably because I was such a voracious reader when I was in school. When I was muc

Romance Month
( Photo on Foter.com ) It’s February, and a lot of people automatically think ‘Valentine’s Day’. Now I may be a bit biased, being a romance novel writer and reader–okay, I’m a lot biased–but I think romance shouldn’t be limited to just one month of the year. I’m guessing lots of you feel the same way. I’m not complaining about flowers, or sparkly jewelry, or chocolates (especially from my favorite local candy maker!) on Valentine’s Day, but it makes me a little sad that the

Pretty Tiger Shifters and More Hot Heroes
( Photo on Foter.com ) I’ve been digging through manuscripts a little bit this week, and a lot this weekend–Medusas, tiger shifters, and a contemporary that I had intended to finish and polish last year before my writing schedule went kaput in the face of family stuff. I never stopped writing last year, though I didn’t get to do any of the polishing and publishing things I had planned. The first part of my year this year will be finishing and polishing Medusas–tweaking and

New Chapters
(New chapter printed on a tyepwriter -Depositphotos) My weekend has been busy, though I haven’t gotten all the things done that I intended. One thing that happened, though, is that we are officially empty-nesters as of today, and I’m torn about that. I know that’s how life works, but my mom-brain isn’t ready. To avoid being sad all over (again), I’m going to change the subject. Writing. I’ve gotten a bit done this week, even though the day-job was busier than I had expected

Making Progress
( Photo on Foter.com ) It’s been a busy week. I expected the day-job to be busy, and it was. I didn’t expect to be so busy outside of there this week, though it turned out that way. I got quite a bit of writing done this week, in spite of the day-job craziness. I also got some things done (or at least moved further alone) with my aunt’s estate, too, and I feel better about where things stand there right now. Work should be a little quieter for me after Tuesday (at least for

Underway
Hot Chocolate How has the first week of your new year gone? As well as you’d hoped? Better? Not as well as you wanted? I haven’t gotten as much writing-related work done this week as I would have liked, but I have been writing, in spite of the absolute craziness at my day-job–way more insanity than I anticipated, and the next week is probably going to be even busier. I’ve also been working on getting a new-to-me computer set up in the home office, which is taking some time,

New Year Kickoff
I’m writing this on New Year’s Eve, and I’m still debating whether I’ll be awake at midnight to greet the new year. I’m not going to be unhappy to kiss 2017 goodbye (or kick it in the pants on the way out, maybe!), since it was a rough year. I have made up my mind that 2018 is going to rock…or else! My plate is pretty full for the new year. Some of the things I didn’t get to do in the past year are on my new goal list–like figuring out how to get Hunting Medusa back out int

Winter’s Here
That is what the roof of my car looked like a week or so ago when I went out to go to work one morning. We had a bit of rain the night before, and then it cleared up overnight and got really cold, so I got treated to a pretty frozen picture on my car. Even better, yesterday, we got our first snow, and I’m not talking flurries. I’m talking between four and five inches of snow, starting in the morning, and going on all day. It was gorgeous. Of course, it’s already been mel

Too Busy
I’ve been thinking about this for a while. We’re always busy, whether it’s with household chores, or day-jobs, or family things, or any of a thousand other things. Responsibility trumps all else. Sometimes, I think we should ditch the responsibilities for a few moments of relaxation and enjoyment. Maybe more than just a few moments. ( Photo by jmd41280 on Foter.com / CC BY-ND ) This time of year, things get really crazy, and many of us forget to stop and breathe. In my d

Giving Thanks
( Photo credit: Foter.com ) We’re heading into Thanksgiving week here in the U.S, which just happens to be one of our busiest weeks of the year at my day-job, though our crazy-busy is Monday and Tuesday, and then we’ll be a little slower the rest of the week. Which is why I took an extra day off, so I can do less work in the kitchen on Thursday and enjoy the holiday more than some years when I spent most of the day working in the kitchen. I think Thanksgiving is probably m

Sunday Catch Up
Here it is Sunday evening, and I had planned on getting this up hours ago. Turns out the chores took longer than I expected, but they’re finally done, and now I get to relax just a little bit before calling it a night. It’s crazy season at the day-job this month, but I am still making time to write in the mornings (and on the days when I have time for a lunch break). I would love a day, though, where I could sit with a big, fat book and a bottomless cup of tea. This is the

Resurfacing
My summer took an unexpected turn, as you will have noticed when I didn’t get to the rest of my birthday month celebrating in July. I had mentioned here some time ago that I had two family members who were ill. One of them is much better this year. The other, my aunt, continued on a downhill path that ended in July. Watching someone you love decline that way sucks. The only good thing about it was that she did it the way she wanted. There is a fantastic in-patient hospi

Writing, Writing, Writing
It’s been a pretty decent writing week this week, which was nice. I didn’t expect it with my work schedule at the day-job. I’m going to hope I get as much in this week as well, though the day-job should be busier. If I do manage it, I should be pretty near the end of the first draft of this shifter story, if not to the very end. That would be a great way to wind down the month. Especially since I didn’t get much accomplished this weekend, except for household stuff. I s

When I Grow Up
( Photo credit: donnierayjones via Foter.com / CC BY ) I remember being a kid and being asked what I wanted to be when I grew up. When you’re young, there are lots of things you might want to do when you’re a grown up. I remember playing with a doctor kit and thinking I wanted to be a nurse–but that was way before science classes, which weren’t my strong suit. I remember playing with my younger siblings and thinking how great it would be if I was a teacher when I grew up,

Pretty Summer Days
( Photo credit: Lida Rose via Foter.com / CC BY-ND ) This week has been absolutely gorgeous here, finally. After a week or so of mostly rainy days, the beautiful weather the past week has been a glorious change. I got a couple of tomatoes planted, though the greenhouse didn’t have the lemon basil I wanted, so I’ll have to go back again and look soon, because that is my favorite. I have lemon balm in my garden that is like two shrubs at this point, but the lemon basil has t

Back to Normal and a Story Snippet
I have to start with any apology for missing my regular blog post last week. Work has been really busy, but mostly it was sick family that made me miss last weekend’s post. Now that that is resolved (at least for the moment), things are closer to normal. As close as close as things will ever be, I suppose. ( Photo credit: Foter.com ) So this weekend is much more relaxing than last, even with the household chores that always need to be done. The big things are done now, an

Rainy Saturdays
Sounds like the perfect day to stay inside and read, right? That’s the sort of day we’re having here, grey skies and random showers, plus it’s cool enough to actually feel like spring outside. ( Photo credit: taiyofj via Foter.com / CC BY ) So what have I been doing? Writing, and household chores. I should be figuring out supper, but I’ll wing it. I have chicken breasts and sausage both defrosting, so I’ll just make whichever appeals most when it’s time, and make the oth

May Blooming
I think summer is here already. We had those few beautiful days, and suddenly the past three have been hot and muggy. I’m disappointed. I shouldn’t be, because we haven’t had too many good springs here in recent years. Most of the time now, we get a few weeks of cool, early-spring weather, and then summer arrives with the heat and humidity. One of these years, I’ll get a really great spring again. Maybe next year, after a decent winter. ( Photo credit: Sorin Mutu via F

Spring Cleanup and an Excerpt
My lilacs are blooming like crazy this week, so spring is definitely here. I suppose that means that, in addition to cutting them to bring in the house, I should also be clearing out the flower beds to get them ready for the new season. Instead, though, today, I’m going to enjoy the flowers I brought inside while I write. I could write outside, but half the neighborhood has lawn mowers or other outdoor tools running, and even in the house, I can still hear them if I don’t h

Weekend Writing
( Photo credit: _demare.thibaut_ via Foter.com / CC BY-SA ) I’ve seen a lot of the view above this weekend. Yes, the weather’s been nice, but when the words are coming, why would I not take dictation, right? Okay, yes, I did get my regular household chores done yesterday, but still got new words into my manuscript. Yes, I spent two solid hours in the kitchen today, but I still got to write. That makes me happy. I think work is going to be kind of crazy at least the next
